“I made this piece wanting to manifest a Divine Healer who would come to me and help me. She is total, and completely available in her presence, ready to give. As I made this piece, I felt comforted by her and I realized that I wanted to be that. And I began an earnest journey inward towards that end goal. Anyone can step into this. All of us. Every day we get to make a conscious choice to be the first to forgive, to be the loving one—to be The Healer. We can ask ourselves every day, ‘Who do I want to be in the world? Do I want to be that person who is a source of kindness and love and support for others? Do I want to be the person who is ready to forgive and stand for love in all things, for myself, and for everyone?  Do I want to be The Healer—that person who makes others feel safe, nurtured, understood and enveloped in compassion?” Stepping into the role of a Healer is honorable. This image was made in a technique Allison created, where she glues tiny pieces of paper onto a paper board. There is no paint used in this process. She calls them “paper paintings”.
